1988 - Electronic Trip Plans

XATA introduced the industry's first totally electronic trip plans, with the development of its patented Driver Key and Data Station functions

1989 - Paperless DOT Logs

Along with electronic trip plans, XATA was the first to automate the electronic collection of data and transform logs into reports for pre- and post- trip inspections. With XATA, DOT logs first began to be electronically sent from the vehicle, freeing drivers to do what they do best: drive.

1990 - Learned Standards

The ability to compare actual data against user-defined parameters is a crucial part of XATA's analytics tools. With the XATANET Learned Standards function, fleet managers can compare real-time views to historical data, so they can base their operational standards on actual performance. XATA developed its Exception-based Alerts to instantly inform fleet managers of vehicles performing outside user-defined parameters.

1992 - Driver Downloads

XATA developed its Driver Key function for downloading information from the driver/vehicle to fleet management systems.

1998 - Wireless Yard Communications

XATA enabled real-time wireless data exchange between XATA-vehicles in the yard and the back-office. With the introduction of XATA’s patented Driver Key, data can now be downloaded from driver computers to the fleet management system in batch mode, providing reductions in communication costs.

1999 - Exception-based Wireless Reporting

Integrating onboard computers and wireless telemetry, XATA introduced the first exception-based wireless reporting, and brought mission-critical fleet intelligence to key fleet managers and decision-makers without delay. XATA provides immediate access to critical onboard information, and its real-time notifications are triggered by user-defined onboard events, ensuring that only critical information is instantly reported to fleet management.

2004 - XATANET Integrated Systems

XATA introduced a more affordable, streamlined fleet management solution that can be easily implemented by fleets of all sizes. As a web-based offering, the new XATANET solution delivers a rapid return on investment on a completely scalable platform.
